Passion and Purpose

The bonds and connections that are made surrounding food create lasting memories that are shared between family and friends. Most of my favorite memories encompass food which is why I began my pursuit in the food and service industry 25 years ago at Vesta in Denver, Colorado.
I started bussing tables, but had my heart set on learning in the kitchen and was ultimately given an opportunity to become a chef apprentice. I then returned home to Miami, Florida where I was born and raised. I continued gaining experience from a wide variety of establishments, ranging from front and back of house positions, to catering, planning, production and healthy eating education. Given the diverse amount of culture and cuisine concentrated in one city, it’s hard for a chef not to be inspired.
In the spring of 2011, I left the shore and headed to the Blue Ridge mountains for a different perspective. Several years later, after working as the general manager of a successful family owned restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina, I decided to put my career on hold and move to Charlotte to focus on raising my young family.
Now here we are, nearly 7 years later, eager to bring all my passion and experience together to create a business that doesn’t just focus around food, but also service and community. From the moment you call, until your event is complete, your entire experience is our purpose and the opportunity to give back to the Charlotte community is a tremendous benefit. At the root, it’s about sharing my passion and the joy I experience from being able to make a difference.
In the vast landscape that our food culture has become, it is my hope that Taste Budd’s will inspire and help create lasting memories for you and your guests.
